MESSAGE:  “THE SEASON OF GREAT HOPE:

…Hope Is Revealed To Those Who Seek.”

SCRIPTURE:  Matthew 2:1-12

KEY VERSE:  v. John 14:9  “To see me is to see the Father.”                                         ~Jesus Christ

FOCUS:  Christian hope exposes the nature of God’s heart.

INTRODUCTION:  “To be a Christian means to stake one’s life on the revelation of God in Jesus Christ.  When the most High God reveals Himself through the vulnerability of an infant, I must listen:  I have nothing to teach, nothing to say.  Christian hope, the spirit that dominates the Advent/Christmas season, is not reserved merely for some splendid future yet to come.  Hope is the good news of transforming grace now.  We are freed not only from the fear of death, but from the fear of life.”                                                  ~ Brennan Manning
