2004 - *Mother’s Day MESSAGE: “POWER-LIVING: On The Home Front”
KEY VERSE: v. 21 “And it shall be, that everyone that calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
FOCUS: Everybody in our families can come to faith in Jesus.
INTRODUCTION: Hundreds of years before Pentecost, the Spirit of God revealed His grand plan for mankind to a Godly man by the name of Joel. Joel, the Old Testament prophet, saw what would happen and penned it for all of us. Not only did Joel see how God would be supernaturally poured out into the hearts of mature disciples, but he had impressed on his heart that this special blessing would come to all kinds of people that make up our families: sons, daughters, young men, old men, women… everybody, that is, would be touched. Pentecost would be a family celebration. htl
