When the elections are over and the dust settles (or perhaps the dust gets even more stirred up!), regardless of who wins or who is in power, Christ is still the King. Traditionally, as the Church’s leaders saw the rise of non-Christian dictators, they felt the need to encourage the faithful, so they identified the last Sunday before Advent as “the Feast of Christ the King,” to remind them of Christ’s all-encompassing authority. This two-part series will remind us of this, as well as prepare us for the beginning of Advent.
