Support Staff

· Name: Lois Frazier

· Job title/description: Executive Secretary – I provide direct support to the Lead and Executive Pastors, including assisting them in the management of church business.

· What do you love about what you do: I am so thankful that the Lord gave me the opportunity to serve Him by serving the Pastors and congregation at West Valley Church. I enjoy being part of the team. What a blessing!

· Family members names: Traci Frazier (daughter)

· Brief background: I’m thankful to my parents who brought me up in a Christian home. I gave my life to Christ when I was 12 years old. I’ve had some ups and downs in my life – but God has always been faithful, always calling me to a closer relationship with Him through it all. My previous work experience before coming to WVC was accounting. I worked in the business office of Perry Trade School, a couple of cattle feedlots in Pasco and Othello, and over 18 years at Yakima Valley Community College as a Fiscal Technician III.

Becky Broom, Office Manager

· What do you love about what you do: I love the fact that I am able to come and work every day with an amazing group of individuals who all have a great love for the Lord, and to be able to serve God and our church family with the talent and abilities that He has given me.

· Spouse & family members’ names: My husband, Michael; Our children, Linnea, Sydney & Christian.

· Brief background: I was born in Yakima and was raised in a wonderful Christian home just a block away from this church. I received Christ into my heart as a child, and have since then been amazed at God’s unfailing love for me despite having gone through some difficult times. During twelve of those years, I worked on and off in the banking industry. Then for the last six years, before coming to WVC, I worked as the Office Manager/Financial Administrator for the Valley Mall in Union Gap.

Mike Hedrick, Facility Mgr

· What do you love about what you do: I love that I get to use many of my God given talents to take care of the Lord’s house and my church family.

* What do you love about your job: I'm meeting with and greeting all the people who call, or walk in our front door. So many things bring people to us. It is always a privilege to engage each one, and my joy to assist however I can, or direct you to one of our wonderful staff members who can. I love assisting with connections.

* Background: I've been so blessed. There is nothing over the years...especially the things I have accepted growth in; things that I've been through; schooling, my life with Kevin, raising my children, commitments made in faith, that Jesus has not been there. He has never abandoned me; He has redirected me as needed, and loved me as no other. He is always showing me the beauty of His might love. We have always been close, but I'm a better, truer friend to Him over time. I'm so grateful. This relationship with Him brought me to WVC and then a job. This walk with Him has been humbling, and joyful. It all comes along in a suitcase to be used as the Lord sees fit. So tomorrow is a new day for me...seeing what He will do. I hope you will come see us here in the office, we would love to see you! The staff here is awesome.

· What do you love about what you do: I love knowing that I am serving the Lord in an area that many people don’t often think about in a church.

· Brief background: I’ve worked in banking for 4 years and worked in bookkeeping for 6 years. I made a decision to have a relationship with Christ when I was a child.

Teri Fleming, Early Childhood Coordinator

· Name: Teri Fleming

· Job title/description: Early Childhood Coordinator – oversees the nursery and preschool

· What do you love about what you do: I love working with the kids. They are so awesome. I love watching them grow and learn – until they are promoted to first grade.

· Spouse & family members names: Rockie Fleming, my husband. Kids: Daniel & Rebekah Fleming (Kansas City, MO – Nazarene Theological Seminary); Becky Fleming (Spokane – Eastern Washington University); Sarah Fleming (Nampa, ID – Northwest Nazarene University – teaching)

· Brief background: I accepted the Lord as my Savior in second grade. I really connected with Jesus as a teenager. In 1980 I married my husband, Rockie. We had three children (twins – Daniel & Becky and then Sarah). I had the privilege to homeschool all three of our children. I have served in the church as Caravan Director for 18 (10 of those years were at West Valley Church).

Pastor Mike O'Neill, Lead Pastor

· Job title/description: Lead Pastor

· What do you love about what you do: I love seeing God work in our lives and our church. It’s always so exciting when he’s moving and you can see the results. We have a great team in the staff and leadership team that are fun to be with, too, so that’s makes it even greater!

· Spouse & family member’s names: I’m married to my smokin’ hot wife Shelly, and we have three boys – Sean, a junior at Northwest Nazarene University studying Pre-Physical Therapy, Ryan, a freshman at NNU studying to be a youth pastor, and Brenden, a Junior at West Valley High School. And Duff, our female black lab.

· Brief background: I became a Christian in high school and attended Northwest Nazarene University, where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in ministry. Shelly and I met there (her degree is in Social Work/Psychology). I spent almost 15 years as a youth pastor in California, Oregon, and Idaho before becoming a Lead Pastor, which I’ve done since 1998. We moved to Yakima in 2009. We love being a part of West Valley Church – great people and great fun. I’m also having fun when I’m with my family and friends, playing Frisbee with Duff, reading, skiing, and exercising. I am not having fun when I’m eating broccoli or brussels sprouts, but am having fun when the food is spicy.

Keith Cunningham, Executive Pastor

· What do you love about what you do: I love “Team WVC!” Working with our staff and our lay leaders to fulfill God’s mission for our church is the most gratifying work I’ve ever done.

· Brief background: I retired from the USAF in 2009 after 27 years. As a young officer I flew B-1 bombers but as a colonel I commanded combat units, worked at the Pentagon, and established headquarters for operations in Europe and Africa. I partnered with Pastor Mike years before I retired as he mentored me in the interworking of the church.

· Brief background: In 2000, we moved to Idaho from Pennsylvania. I’ve been involved in College ministry, youth ministry, worship leading, and touring with a music group for 4 ½ years. It’s interesting to see how the opportunities I’ve had have helped prepare me for ministry here at WVC.

James Lounsberry, Youth Pastor

· What do you love about what you do: Seeing youth putting it all together and truly coming to a place of worship with God on a daily basis.

· Brief background: Started attending church my sophomore year of high school. Was called into ministry my senior year of high school. Took a year off of school where God opened great doors to get me to Northwest Nazarene University. Met the most amazing person who is my better half and got married shortly after college. Accepted my first call to Bremerton where I served as Youth Pastor for 5 amazing years. I was approached by Pastor Mike and Keith about taking on a new call to West Valley and God made it very evident that this was where I needed to be. In November of 2010 I joined the staff here and I have loved every minute of it.

What do you love about what you do?: I love to tell people that God loves them and will help them, and then pray with them; I love meeting new people and learning to know them and being enriched from their knowledge, wisdom, and experiences of living; I love WVC and all the people who make it up, and am excited about our potential to impact our community for God as we forge ahead in new adventures with him.
Spouse and family member's names: Wife Patsy, daughter, Vicky (Dave), sons Mark (Joyce), Jeff and Fred (Helen), 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Brief background: Four years US Air Force, during which time I established a relationship with God; Bethany Nazarene College; Fifty five years ministry including pastor, registered Nazarene traveling evangelist, interim pastor, fill-in for pastors on vacation; moved to Yakima in 1981 and home based at First Church until coming to WVC in 2009.
